Held in South Australia, the inaugural Beer Awards was the first event of its kind in the region – drawing significant interest from the brewing community, generating editorial coverage and spotlighting local craft talent. With the awards officially opening to the public, I was brought in to create a visual identity that would define the event’s tone and stand up to future growth.
The strategy was to develop a brand that felt fun and approachable, yet structured enough to scale across categories, collateral and digital touchpoints. I created a flexible identity system that included a bold mark, adaptable colour scheme and typographic style – giving the event a distinctive, modern presence across print, web, signage and merch.
The visual system not only established a clear brand for year one – it laid the foundation for a recurring cultural fixture in South Australia’s food and beverage landscape.
