Strategic Brand Designer
January 15, 2025
I partnered with the founders of Snozat to bring their vision for a ski field navigation app to life — from early-stage branding through to full UI design. The challenge was to create a digital product that could simplify complex mountain environments, helping users locate runs, facilities, and key waypoints in real time, all while maintaining usability in the fast-moving, gear-heavy context of skiing and snowboarding.
The brand needed to balance functionality and excitement — appealing to both casual visitors and seasoned alpine adventurers. I developed the full identity system including logo, iconography, type and colour palette, giving the app a clean, modern aesthetic with enough personality to stand out in a crowded tech space. The visual language was designed to instil confidence and clarity while still feeling light and approachable.
On the UI side, I mapped out key user flows and designed core screens with simplicity and ease of use at the centre. Interface components were optimised for glove-friendly touchpoints, quick scanning, and minimal on-slope friction — supported by a palette and visual hierarchy designed for visibility in bright and snowy environments.
The final product delivered a professional, scalable design system ready for launch — and positioned Snozat as a valuable tool for snowgoers wanting to explore with confidence and ease.
